This Adirondack Black bandana has as its main feature the logmark registered by David Roberts. He registered this mark at the Courthouse in Queensbury, New York in 1843. He was a part owner and general agent for the Glen Falls Company.
The Glen Falls Company consolidated ownership of the sawmills along the North Side of the Hudson River at Glen Falls.
In 1865 the Glen Falls Company sold its assets to Finch Pruyn & Co, who at one time owned over 200,000 acres of Adirondack forests.
Finch Pruyn & Co, continued to own large tracts of the Adirondacks until their new owner sold the remaining 169,000 acres of forested land in 2007.
