The spruce green bandana bears the log mark used by L.E. Fisher in Menominee County Michigan. In 1889 the menominee River, which separates Michigan's Upper Peninsula from Wisconsin, carried over three million logs from the forests to the mills at the river's mouth. At the time no port in the world shipped more lumber than Menominee.
